Eos Eyes New Routes

November 1, 2006 By: Mike Jaccarino Travel Agent

Eos Airlines is eyeing additional routes between New York and Paris, New York and Zurich, and a second U.S. city and London—to roll out sometime in 2007. The all-business-class carrier announced Wednesday that it has prepared initial applications for those and other possible routes—and also said that it scored $75 million in new financing to buy new planes to service these new routes. Since adding a second daily flight between New York and London, Eos reports load factors in the 65 percent range. "We're pleased that investors continue to support our business model," says Eos Chairman and CEO Dave Pottruck.
