Marriott International has signed on to open two hotels and the Ritz Carlton Residences in the L.A. Live sports and entertainment district being built in downtown Los Angeles. The complex will include the 876-room Los Angeles Marriott Marquis and the 124-room Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Los Angeles. The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles will be above the hotels with 216 condominiums. The properties are slated to open in 2010. The L.A. Live district will house the STAPLES Center, Nokia Theater Los Angeles and a 15-screen Regal Cineplex. In addition, The Grammy Museum, restaurants, nightclubs and cafes will also be part of the entertainment scene.
