San Francisco Hotel Awarded LEED Certification

San Francisco's Orchard Garden Hotel has been awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The city's first hotel to earn this honor, the Orchard Garden is only the third hotel in the U.S. and fourth hotel in the world with this certification. LEED is the system for designing and constructing the world's greenest, energy-efficient, high-performing buildings. The new $25 million, 86-room boutique hotel opened late winter 2006.
