Grand Pacific Resorts, Inc. and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announce the beginning of construction of the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort. Situated on 15 acres, the Sheraton Carlsbad will be approximately 30 minutes north of San Diego and one hour south of Anaheim. The resort is scheduled to open its first phase in early 2008.
