The Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has released the new Cancun Mobile Guide. This new free app allows travelers to access information about local services and attractions in Cancun on their cellular devices.
The Cancun Mobile Guide is operated by Grupo Cerrando Círculos. It includes an extensive directory of hospitals, airlines and consulates, as well as a complete list of hotels and accommodations in Cancun and Puerto Morelos. The app also features a “Things to Do” section, which points travelers to the latest in adventure, nightlife, golf, restaurants, shopping and spas.
So far the Cancun Mobile Guide has received more than 1,400 downloads, and by August 2012 the CVB estimates that there will be a minimum of 367,600 users.
Grupo Cerrando Círculos has invited service providers to participate by sending their information, pictures and banners for a low cost. The CVB hopes the project will become an important reference tool for promoting the destination and a useful means for companies to publicize their services.
