Cancun's Xel-Ha Recreates Mayan Site of Tulum

Cancun eco-tourism park, Xel-Ha has created a mock-up as a tribute to the Mayan culture of the area. This model recreates the archaeological zone of Tulum and will be available for viewing by all tourists that visit the park.

The mock-up, created by 15 Mexican artists and Mayan clutre specialists, includes about 400 architectural elements and 4,000 miniature pieces that represent both agricultural, religious and social scenes of this ancient city and society of Tulum during the Post-Classic age of the Mayan civilization.

The model, which ranges of 295 feet, will be open to guests of Xel-Ha Park, as well as those who want to be able to visit the monument without actually paying the entrance fee.
