Oasis Hotels and resorts are set to reopen in Cancun after extensive renovations. Grand Oasis Cancun and Oasis Cancun have added restaurants and bars. The beach is also restored. Oasis Viva Beach (formerly Oasis Viva) reopened in December with a new amphitheatre for nightly entertainment and an expanded beach area. Oasis Playa and Oasis Palm Beach (formerly Oasis Beach) are scheduled to reopen on March 1 with similar improvements as the other resorts including total room renovations, pool renewal and public area transformations. Grand Oasis Riviera Maya (formerly Oasis Akumal) will reopen on March 5. The newly upgraded resort offers two spas, several pools, including an infinity pool, new restaurants and bars, upgraded rooms, new lobby area, and a multi-function, air-conditioned theatre.
