The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) reports the launch of the Global Travel Professional (GTP) Certification, a first certification for the business travel industry. Offered through the GBTA Academy, the Certification will help business travel professionals gain recognition in the industry, advance their career and increase professional growth and development, the GBTA says.
Michael W. McCormick, executive director and COO of GBTA said: “The newly launched GTP Certification will become the standard for the industry. For people who want to advance their careers or business leaders wanting to ensure their employees are the best equipped, the GBTA Academy’s GTP will be the most efficient and effective way to help travel professionals excel in their field.”
Applicants are strongly encouraged by the GBTA to refer to the test content outline for details regarding the skills and knowledge required to earn the GTP. The first GTP examination will be administered prior to the 2012 GBTA Convention in Boston on July 22, 2012.
