Raffles Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Thomas B. Meier, a seven-year veteran of the company, as vice president of operations. With more than 12 years of managing experience in various countries in Asia, previous positions Meier has held include hotel manager/general manager at Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, general manager of Raffles The Plaza, as well as area general manager for Southeast Asia and China for Raffles Hotels & Resorts. In his new role, Meier will assist Managing Director of Raffles Hotels & Resorts Diana Ee-Tan in overseeing the operations of existing hotels, as well as future openings of new hotels under the Raffles portfolio. Over the past 12 months, eight new hotels and resorts have been announced and over the past three months Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of four properties to its collection of hotels.
