At the 29th Caribbean Tourism Conference, in the Bahamas, tourist developments in St. Vincent & the Grenadines were updated. Phase one of the Buccament Bay Resort is scheduled to be completed March 2007 and will feature 50 one- and two-bedroom villas and a private beach. By late 2007 the completed project will comprise 152 villas, restaurant and bar, swimming pool, spa, and casino. Tennis courts, golf course and meeting facilities will also be part of the finished project.
St. Vincent will also see its first international airport when the Argyle International airport opens in 2011 at a cost of $178 million.
