Cruise Holidays Convenes for Annual Convention

Cruise Holidays reports its franchise owners and affiliates will find networking opportunities at the heart of nearly every event they participate in at this year’s Annual Convention, which kicked off Saturday, November 5. This year’s Annual Convention takes place aboard Holland America Line’s ms Eurodam until November 12 on an eastern Caribbean sailing. Franchise owners, frontline agents, independent contractors, vendor partners and headquarters staff from Cruise Holidays are attending.

This year’s theme is “The Difference Is You!” Cruise Holidays says, with franchise owners having a key stake in the success of the meeting because their active participation is requested in networking sessions, franchise owner-led roundtables, and best practices workshops where they will share ideas throughout the week.

The convention also includes two high-powered motivational presentations by speaker Roger Crawford, designed to instill peak performance and help the audience break through self-imposed limits, Cruise Holidays says. Founded in 1984, Cruise Holidays is part of Travel Leaders Group.

General Sessions include the unveiling of a learning management system for existing and new franchise owners, frontline agents and independent contractors and the announcement of new developments in Cruise Holidays’ award-winning marketing program.

“The past two and a half years have marked a new chapter of optimism and growth at Cruise Holidays, and our existing franchise owners and affiliates are at the heart of the renewed success of our franchise program,” said Mark Schiffner, Cruise Holidays vice president and chief operating officer. “The very best thing about Cruise Holidays is the willingness of our franchise owners to share their knowledge and experience with other franchise owners. It’s a ‘how can I help you’ attitude that is quite unique in the business community.”

As part of the convention activities, Cruise Holidays will wrap up its annual fundraiser. This summer and fall, Cruise Holidays franchise owners were given the opportunity to raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. On Nov. 10, all convention attendees are invited to participate in a special five-kilometer “On Deck for the Cure” walk to support the fight against breast cancer.

Holland America Line regularly holds On Deck for the Cure events aboard its ships. Holland America Line has already given nearly three million dollars to Komen through the On Deck for the Cure program. This is the fifth year in a row Cruise Holidays has held a franchise-wide fundraiser for a non-profit organization.
