Travel Leaders Wins $208.2 Million In New Accounts

cashDespite economic uncertainty in 2012, Travel Leaders reports that new business travel accounts won by its wholly-owned and Associate (franchised) locations in 2012 total over $208.2 million, an increase of $10.8 million compared to the previous year.

Travel Leaders said this is a conservative estimate given that the data is gathered through voluntary reporting of new business by both Travel Leaders Associates and Travel Leaders Corporate on a quarterly basis. Also, this does not include new business accounts won by any other Travel Leaders Group divisions or members.

“Given the economic uncertainty throughout 2012, we are extremely pleased with the ‘wins’ acquired in 2012 and are cautiously optimistic about this year. There are still a number of issues both domestically and internationally that business leaders are keeping a close eye on – which is why we’ve made significant updates and enhancements to our proprietary pricing and profitability matrices that our agencies use with their clients to better identify opportunities for added value,” stated Travel Leaders Franchise Group President Roger E. Block.

“In addition, our proprietary, Client Travel Policy Assessment Process makes it easy for our members to provide their clients with consistent and thorough analysis of their company travel policies and to identify way to enhance the strength of those policies. Travel Leaders clients who have strengthened their business travel policies, and reinforce compliance, have seen their total cost of ownership (TCO) reduced significantly as a direct result. It is that kind of partnership with our business travel clients that allows us to continue winning new business," Block reports.

“Last year was a solid year for Travel Leaders Corporate and our pipeline shows signs of a strong upcoming quarter. Our internal teams have been busy servicing our existing customers and our sales team continues to focus on closing new business,” stated Travel Leaders Corporate President David Holyoke

“Our participation in the Global Business Travel Association conference in the 3rd quarter was a great success and we took part in other leading business events throughout the year to enhance our standing as one of the top corporate travel management companies in the U.S," Holyoke said.

"We continue to promote our Travel Leaders Corporate ‘Departure from the Ordinary’ culture and service offering, and we believe that will translate to additional business opportunities in 2013.  And, as a testament to our strong customer service philosophy, we did not have any significant client losses in 2012," Holyoke said.
