TRAVELSAVERS Adds Five Canadian Agencies

October 12, 2011 By: George Dooley Travel Agent

TRAVELSAVERS reports that five Canadian travel agencies have signed on with the group, adding $180 million in annual sales to the organization and additional offices in BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. The agencies are: Custom Travel Solutions, YYZ Travel Group, Boulevard Travel, Canada One Travel and Forte Travel Solutions.

The five agencies also comprise the G7 Travel Network, which as of August 1, 2011 became an integral part of the TWIN (TRAVELSAVERS Worldwide Independent Network) travel management company.

Some members of G7 had previously established key alliances with this network. Vaughan Payne, president of Custom Travel Solutions of Calgary, said, “Having worked with TRAVELSAVERS in the past, I clearly understood that they would exceed our expectations within the TWIN group by bringing forward a network of likeminded associates with high integrity and a commitment to work together for common values and results.”

Kathryn Mazza-Burney, executive vice president, sales and service, TRAVELSAVERS, commented, “We heartily welcome Vaughan and all five of these agencies to our group. They are all leaders in their respective markets and they will be in very fine company in the TRAVELSAVERS organization. By using our comprehensive portfolio of travel products and services, they’ll be able to deliver even greater service and superior travel value to their customers.”

Because they also joined TWIN, the agencies have access to the group’s network of independent travel agencies around the globe.

Rick Mazza, president and CEO of TRAVELSAVERS and TWIN, commented, “We’re proud to bring the G7 Travel Network into the TWIN organization. Their staff is of the highest caliber and they’ll mix well with our current members. TWIN, in turn, gives them opportunities to collaborate with an expanded network of colleagues abroad for their in-country support and to share in new business initiatives.”
