Vacation.com reports an overwhelming response to the opening of registration last week for its 14th annual International Conference & Trade Show, to be held onboard Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas, May 5 - 12, 2012. In the first week alone, approximately half of the available cabins have already been booked, and Vacation.com leadership expects the rest to sell out quickly.

The largest travel industry event ever hosted onboard a cruise ship, Vacation.com said its International Conference will be spaced out during the seven-day voyage departing from Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale and visiting three Caribbean islands. The conference website introduces the theme of next year’s event—“Think Big.”

“When the industry’s largest conference is held on the world’s largest cruise ship, our Vacation.com members can’t help but ‘Think Big,’” said Vacation.com President John Lovell. “Throughout the conference, attendees will realize that no matter how big they dream, Vacation.com offers the programs and opportunities to make those dreams a reality.”

All of the best aspects that Conference offers each year will be included at the 2012 Conference, including an active Trade Show, hands-on training in the Experience Room, dozens of classes and Preferred Supplier sessions, high energy General Sessions and the industry's foremost speakers.

Interspersed throughout the week will be more downtime than usual, which will give attendees added time to network with Vacation.com’s Preferred Suppliers and colleagues as well as enjoy all the Oasis of the Seas has to offer.

In addition, Vacation.com is working with its Preferred Suppliers to offer events on all three port stops—Nassau, Bahamas; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Philipsburg, St. Maarten—and pre- and post-conference hotel packages in Ft. Lauderdale will be available courtesy of Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

“Next year’s Conference will be the most unique event the industry has ever seen,” added Lovell. “It will be the perfect combination of conference classics and Caribbean flair, creating an educational and networking event that surpasses all others.”

The website—www.Conference.JoinVacation.com—answers all questions about Vacation.com’s International Conference, with details about the itinerary, booking instructions, stateroom options, guest policies and rates, which include the Conference fee.

Due to the unique nature of the venue, Vacation.com expects all blocked staterooms to be booked by early November, so members are encouraged to register early.
