Carnival Lifts Beverage Ban

Carnival Cruise Lines is backtracking on its three-week ban prohibiting guests to carry on personal soda and bottled water, the line announced on Friday. The line says it will now allow customers to bring their own soda and water aboard, but in small quantities, which will be monitored. The prior ban forced cruisers to purchase Carnival's soda and bottled water, which cost $1.75 and $2.25 a pop respectively. The change comes after passengers expressed displeasure over the ban.
