Cunard Taps Experts For New Enrichment Program

Cunard Line is unveiling one of its most experiential offerings with the debut of a new enrichment program being called Cunard Insights. The program is meant to give guests the chance to mingle with experts from a range of backgrounds through debates, social gatherings and workshops. Cunard says that the new program is for guests who want a more cerebral experience while on their cruise vacation, one that goes beyond just regular entertainment. Cunard is so high on the program that it has appointed a dedicated manager, Caroline Mathieson, who will oversee the selection of presenters. Upcoming Cunard Insights presenters on Queen Mary 2 include: the British actress Victoria Tennant; actor/comedian John Cleese; sports writer/commentator Frank DeFord; bestselling author Lynn Truss; and noted physician Dr. Jerry Labriola. "Dating back to the days of the original Queen Mary," said Carol Marlow, president of Cunard Line, "several guests, including distinguished notables such as Winston Churchill or Cole Porter, engaged in informal talks with their fellow travelers as a way of entertaining themselves." The program will also be extended to Queen Victoria when the ship joins the Cunard fleet in December. Visit [www.cunard.com] for more information.
