More Than 200 people Become Ill on Cruise Ship

The Associated Press is reporting about 220 people aboard the Mariner of the Seas came down with norovirus, a gastrointestinal illness, the cruise line said Saturday. Earlier this year, the ship, which is run by Royal Caribbean, had an outbreak of norovirus, which is a fairly common illness. Noroviruses affect about 23 million Americans annually, and 16 incidents of the illness have been reported on cruise ships so far this year, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
