MSC Cruises to Distribute North America Inventory Via Amadeus

MSC Cruises and Amadeus have reached an agreement whereby all of MSC's inventory in North America will be distributed through the Amadeus global distribution system. Travel agencies in the U.S. and Canada now have live access to MSC itineraries and cabin inventory through Amadeus Cruise. The North America launch is an expansion of the distribution relationship between MSC and Amadeus, which began last year. "This agreement will allow us to increase our presence and reach within the travel agent community," said Rick Sasso, president and CEO of MSC Cruises. MSC's decision to distribute through Amadeus is part of its growth strategy, which has seen its fleet expand to seven ships currently, with four more coming online in 2007 and 2008.
