easter islandNorwegian Cruise Line has announced the launch of three new South American Cruisetours, beginning November 2015.

These pre- or post-cruise land-based tours are available for guests sailing on Norwegian Sun’s South America itineraries. Ranging in length from three to five days, these experiences are hosted by English-speaking local tour guides and explore Argentina and Chile.

Guests will embark on a three-night excursion through Buenos Aires, and then take a short flight to Iguazú for a two-day eco-tour of the area, including a visit to the Aborigene Guaraní community and more. Travelers will also experience 19th century history at the "Estancia" (ranch) El Rosario de Areco, including a visit with gauchos on horseback, learning about the importance of the Pampas region to Argentina’s culture, a gauchos and horses show and a traditional Argentine barbecue.

The "Easter Island & Santiago Explorer Cruisetour" in Chile is a five-day experience that takes guests on a three-day tour of Easter Island, with a chance to visit the giant moai statues dating back centuries and the ceremonial village of Orongo. Additionally, guests will overnight in Chile’s capital city of Santiago.
