Occupancies Still High at Sea

Occupancy rates on North America cruises grew to 112 percent during the second quarter this year, the highest second quarter over the last four years, according to data released by the U.S. Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration report. The report notes that 15.7 million passenger nights were booked on North America cruises, up two percent from the same period a year ago. The report also found that 96 percent of North America passenger nights were booked on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Star Group.
