Paul Gauguin Acquisition Benefits Agents, Clients

August 31, 2009 By: Alexia Dellner

The acquisition of Paul Gauguin Cruises by Pacific Beachcomber will not hinder agents' business,  according to a statement released by David A. Giersdorf, president and CEO of the cruise line.

Giersdorf assured travel professionals that anew online Travel Agent Center will ease ooking a Paul Gauguin cruise and that the automatic honoring of all current 2009 commission agreements and levels for 2010 reservations, including those made through National Accounts and Independent Agreements, will remain unaffected. The cruise line will also continue with the elimination of non-commissionable fares for 2010

To celebrate the acquisition, Paul Gauguin Cruises is offering  Early Booking Savings. Guests who reserve and deposit by September 30 will receive up to 50 percent off standard cruise fares for January-March departures, up to 45% percent off standard cruise fares for April-December departures, free roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles for 2010 departures of 10 or more nights, and two-for-one roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles for 2010 departures of seven to nine nights

The m/s Paul Gauguin Society also enables clients to extend savings of 5 percent and exclusive recognition benefits if they have sailed previously on Paul Gauguin Cruises.
