Princess Bulks Up POLAR Online Agent Booking Tool

Princess Cruises is adding a new feature to its POLAR Online booking tool that will allow travel agents to schedule special promotions such as cruise sales. Concurrently, the cruise line has added a new course to Princess Academy, its travel agent training program, called "Successful Cruise Nights," which helps agents maximize these special sales. Agency owners can schedule up to six cruise sales per year, running for one week each. The new functionality will allow agents to set up their cruise sale dates online, in lieu of having to call them in to reserve. The new tool will also keep tabs of the sales so agents can look back and see how successful they were. Jan Swartz, Princess' senior vice president of customer service and sales, says agents have repeatedly said that holding cruise sales is a great way to stimulate business.
