Princess Turns to eTicketing

September 5, 2006 By: Mike Jaccarino Travel Agent

Princess Cruises claims that it is now the first cruise line to have completely converted to electronic ticketing. Beginning this week, Princess says passengers sailing on or after Nov. 17 can access their travel summaries and cruise documents online. The eTickets program only applies to bookings from North American passengers. Travelers without Internet access can request to receive their boarding pass and travel summary by mail, or pick them up from a travel agent. Princess Cruises says that it will send some documents by mail, including a welcome letter, Cruise Answer Book, Adventures Ashore excursion booklet, passage contract, Princess Travel Care details and luggage tags.
