Beginning April 30, passengers sailing onboard Royal Caribbean International’s Legend of the Seas in Singapore, will be able to take advantage of a brand-new Cruise-Fly service designed to help them make a seamless transition from the cruise terminal to the airport.

To offer the new service, Royal Caribbean teamed up with Singapore-based SATS Ltd., a specialized provider of gateway services and food solutions. Passengers who book the CruiseFly service will be personally met by SATS customer-service agents at the cruise terminal upon disembarkation from the ship, and will be ferried to Marina Bay Sands and onto the airport. SATS will also handle passengers’ flight check-in and luggage deposits.

The service is available for guests who travel on the following airlines: Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Qantas Airways, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and EVA Airways.

“We are really delighted to introduce the Cruise-Fly service jointly with Royal Caribbean,  said Yacoob Piperdi, senior vice president of SATS. “After a successful pilot run in December last year, SATS and Royal Caribbean are of one mind that the service has enhanced the guests’ overall cruise experience and that more should be done to create such service opportunities going forward.”

“Cruising in itself is a very hassle-free travel option and the Cruise-Fly initiative elevates this notion by bridging and shortening the distance between the pier and flight check-in services, and at the same time, bringing these guests to the doorsteps of some of the most exciting tourist destinations in Singapore,” said Kelvin Tan, regional director, Asia Pacific, Royal Caribbean Cruises. “We hope that more and more of our guests can take advantage of this service whenever our ships call at Singapore.”

SATS also plans to continue offering this service for Legend of the Seas when it returns this November and for Azamara Quest, another members of the Royal Caribbean Cruises fleet, which is slated to call at Singapore again this upcoming December.
