Royal Caribbean to Sail RT From NY

Royal Caribbean International unveiled its 2007–2008 deployment. The line's 3,100-passenger Explorer of the Seas will sail year-round from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ, becoming yet another ship to focus on the New York market year-round. Starting in May 2007, the Voyager-class ship will operate myriad itineraries including Caribbean, New England/Canada and Bermuda sailings. Other highlights of the 2007–2008 schedule include shorter Royal Caribbean itineraries from Miami, new Galveston cruises, the line's first cruises from Norfolk, new cruises from the Dominican Republic designed to appeal to an international clientele, and the winter relocation of Enchantment of the Seas to Tampa. Separately, at cruise3sixty in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.'s Chairman Richard Fain announced that the line's second Freedom-class ship will be called Liberty of the Seas. Fain also said the company's support for agents will soon include a new trade-friendly advertising tag line: "Royal Caribbean recommends using a travel agent."
