Silversea Cruises Debuting Customizable Luxury Services for 2007

November 3, 2006 By: David Eisen Travel Agent

Silversea Cruises has announced plans to offer a new style of ultra-luxury cruise travel called Privileged Passage, which will launch on a select test voyage in 2007. The ultra-personalized and ultra-inclusive vacation experience will allow guests to tailor their onboard experience to meet their personal lifestyle. The company's goal is to create an environment of unstructured, non-regimented luxury travel. The Privileged Passage program will end formal nights and receptions, whereby guests won't need to worry about packing formal ship attire. The move is part of a growing trend by cruise lines to do away with formality, instead promoting a casual vibe, which more and more guests are embracing. Other enhancements will include extended fitness center and spa hours; early embarkation and late disembarkation at no extra cost; complimentary shore excursions; and casual-style entertainment. The program is expected to debut aboard Silver Whisper's 10-day Classic Reflections voyage departing Apr. 9 from Alexandria. Early booking incentive fares begin at $5,605 per person.
