Royal Caribbean has announced a partnership with Food & Wine to offer a multi-platform program titled "The Art of Preparation," showcasing culinary experts preparing food options available on board Royal Caribbean cruises. This is a move made to appeal to traveler's growing interest in culinary cruises while providing more information to guests regarding the meals they are to eat during their voyage.
Carnival's new "Faster to the Fun" program is entering the pilot stage on Aug. 20 aboard the Carnival Imagination, and Aug. 25 aboard the Carnival Liberty. The Faster to the Fun program allows guests to purchase services such as priority embarkation, early stateroom availability and express luggage delivery, as well as priority access to the ships' guest services desk. Additionally, all Faster to the Fun services are available for Diamond and Platinum level members of Carnival’s VIFP (Very Important Fun Person) Club free of charge, a great way to reward frequent travelers with stress-relieving perks.
Windstar Cruises completed renovations aboard the first of its three ships, the Wind Star. The $18-million renovation program redesigned the ship's staterooms with new furnishings, upholstery, art, lighting, wall coverings, carpeting, ceiling finishes, window treatments and floor coverings. Other changes included upgrading The Restaurant to the AmphorA Restaurant, adding hardwood floors to the Lounge, adding new sound insulation to the Casino and upgrading the reception area, library and spa.
