Uniworld's River Royale Christened

Uniworld President Brian Stevenson, godmother Victoria Stevenson, and Captain Pascal Rech presided over the christening of Uniworld's newest river vessel, the 132-passenger River Royale, in Lyon, France, this week. Now sailing nine-day "Connoisseurs' Provence" itineraries through Provence and Burgundy on the Rhone and Saone rivers, the River Royale features 66 cabins and one suite. Cabins have either French-style balcony doors or wide picture windows and have the same amenities as other Uniworld vessels. Suites are 175 square feet. Interiors boast fine furnishings, custom leather upholstery and European linens. Cruising between Lyon and Arles, the ship is crewed by English-speaking European officers and staff. It is the first river vessel to feature both Wi-Fi and Internet access for guests. Inaugural season pricing for the nine-day sailings begins at $2,848 per person double; that includes many shore excursions focused on the culture, history, attractions, wine and cuisine of the regions visited. Uniworld is offering free airfare and a complimentary three-night pre- or post-cruise option in Paris for its past guests ($498 per person offer for first-time guests) on select cruises.
