A Gem on Oregon's Central Coast

Near the town of Gleneden Beach, OR, about 95 miles southwest of Portland on the picturesque central Oregon coast, the Salishan Spa & Golf Resort (888-SALISHAN) and its environs offer many opportunities for recreation and entertainment. The Corvallis Municipal Airport (CVO) is about 45 miles southeast of GlenedenBeach, while the Portland Hillsboro Airport (HIO) is about 70 miles away.

Along the coast on Highway 101, there are many shops and galleries selling works of art, crafts and antiques. Book a wine tasting for your clients at the nearby Flying Dutchman Winery. Options for outdoor recreation include hiking, biking, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, all-terrain vehicle (ATV) tours and whale watching. Fishing in Devil's Lake, SiletzBay and the Salmon River is also very popular. Your angler clients may want to charter a boat. They may also go crabbing or digging for mussels, oysters and clams. For nature lovers, recommend the Salmon River Estuary. The cave formations along the jagged coastline are home to colonies of sea lions. The Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport is popular with families.

New drainage technology was installed, making the course playable year-round. Other upgrades include the complete refurbishment of the course's pro shop, improved locker room facilities and the addition of the Club House Bar and Grill.
