MLT Vacations Adds Booming Dominican Republic Hot SpotApril 30, 2013 By: Newswire
While attending the recent Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) 2013, MLT Vacations announced that it is adding a new destination to its Dominican Republic product offering.
Beginning today, agents booking through MLT’s Delta Vacations and United Vacations brands can offer their clients three new resorts in the region of Samana, Dominican Republic.
Owned and operated by Bahia Principe, the resorts are the Grand Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado Don Pablo Collection; Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa; and the Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo.
“We’re excited to add Samana to our Dominican Republic product offering,” said Karen Kammer, Director, product development for the Caribbean for MLT Vacations, in a written release. “The Bahia Principe resorts in Samana are stunning and give travel agents great new choices when booking vacations for their clients.”
Samana is located roughly 112 miles from the capitol city of Santo Domingo. The transfer time is about two hours. The three resorts are located on the Samana Peninsula. The Grand Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado Don Pablo Collection and the Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa are adults-only resorts.
The Samana Peninsula offers a variety of activities including hiking, watersports, fishing and diving. One of the biggest selling points for agents will be whale-watching.
Along with Santo Domingo, La Romana, Puerto Plata and Punta Cana, Samana is the fifth destination in the Dominican Republic offered by MLT Vacations. In total, MLT’s portfolio in the country includes 59 hotels.
