The Nile Hotel Will Reopen as a Ritz-Carlton

The Nile Hotel in Cairo officially closed its doors on January 1. Over the next two-and-one-half years the property will undergo renovations and will reopen as the Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo in 2012.

The new hotel will have 327 guest rooms, which include 52 suites. The top room category will be the Royal Suites, each at 4,650 square feet with floor-to-ceiling windows, two bedrooms, a living room and dining room.

There will be a total of four restaurants, including an all-day dining option, steakhouse, sushi bar and Italian restaurant. There will also be a rooftop lounge and bar and an Egyptian-themed cafe.
