United Airlines just announced that it will be offering flights between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Newcastle International Airport (NCL) in northeast England beginning May 23, and lasting through September.
The new flights are the first regularly scheduled transatlantic services to Newcastle on a major carrier, and provide access for travelers from the New York metro area to visit England’s north country.
Newcastle is known for its natural scenery, world-class night life, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Hadrian’s Wall and 1000 year old cathedral in Durham.
