InterCon To Open Two Belgrade Hotels

Marking yet another sign of Serbia’s resurgence, InterContinental Hotels Group reported that it has signed an agreement to open the first Crowne Plaza in the capital city of Belgrade. The 415-room hotel– located in the commercial centre of New Belgrade– will undergo a refurbishment, costing more than 30 million euros, before opening under the Crowne Plaza brand in 2010. The hotel will have extensive meeting space as well as the 415 guest rooms, and will be located close to the InterContinental Belgrade, a new-build hotel that will open the first half of 2011.
