LTX: A New Direction

As a travel professional, you are in the business of creating memorable experiences. The foundation in achieving this goal is of course, listening to what your customers want. Beyond listening, you need to actually deliver upon your clients’ requests.

My role is no different than yours. In fact, together with my team, we’ve created Luxury Travel Exchange International (LTX) as a direct result of listening to our clients and delivering a solution to what our clients are looking for.

LTX is set to take stage this November 27-29 at The Palazzo Las Vegas. As you may already know, LTX takes the place of Luxury Travel Expo, an event that not only was an innovator in the industry, but also a must-attend for 13 years for both suppliers and travel advisors focused on the luxury vacation market. The event was launched at a time when there were very few traditional trade shows in the marketplace, and it continued to grow year after year.

So why change?

For starters, the travel business has changed. Whatever the reasons, and there are many, the way we conduct business today is different from the way we conducted business 13 years ago. The same goes for our advisor and supplier partners, and for that reason alone it was time to change.

What’s different?

Yes, the name is different and that’s a given, but it’s an important change. Exchange is about forging relationships, creating and discovering business opportunities, and growing your business. It’s a commitment we have toward you.

We’ve introduced an application process designed to help us better understand the travel advisor business and better qualify participation. What does this mean? Simply said, LTX is a professional event created to support the travel advisor’s business strategy, continuing education and professional growth potential. The application process allows us to gauge the advisor’s needs and create an environment where bona fide travel professionals can thrive and interact with like-minded peers.

What education can you expect?

The educational elements will support advisors in various stages of their careers and will reflect our initiatives in providing enriched content significant to each advisor’s needs. This will be complemented with ample networking opportunities to help better forge both advisor and supplier relations. Advisors will have an opportunity to choose from different package options based on their needs.

Is there a trade show?

The education doesn’t stop in the classroom. The Exchange show floor will house hundreds of suppliers, all keen to conduct business with advisors. Our brand-new One-to-One program is optional (based on your registration package) and allows for a diary of preferred face-to-face appointments on the show floor. To allow you to fully engage with exhibitors, we’ve extended Exchange floor hours—so whether you’re conducting appointments or not, you have plenty of time to exchange.
