The Sheraton Royal Denarau Resort completed a $15 million renovation and
reopened as The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa in Fiji. All 271 rooms
underwent a refurbishment and now feature Westin's Heavenly Bed and Bath, flat-screen TVs,
high-speed Internet connections and Bose DVD players. The resort's restaurants,
two-tiered beachfront pool and the Heavenly Spa by estin were also refurbished.
The Westin's spa is a member of the Starwood Spa Collection and is the largest
facility in Fiji.
The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa is slated to be sold to Host
Marriott Corporation later this month, but will continue to be managed by
Starwood under the Westin flag.
