The Colwick Travel Corporation, a Dallas-based travel agency, has opted into the Sabre Efficient Access Solution in order to gain cover from the impending imposition of per segment booking fees by many airlines, the agency is reporting. The Efficient Access solution promises participating agencies full content from airlines, as well as protection from booking fees, but alters the financial framework under which agencies, Sabre and the airlines once worked. Several airlines, like Continental, American Airlines, and U.S. Airways have announced the imposition $3.50 per segment booking fees in recent weeks.
