Alaska Airlines Boosts California-Hawaii Service

Alaska Airlines is introducing thrice-weekly service between San Jose, CA and Kahului, Maui, and four-times-weekly service between San Jose and Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Introductory one-way fares of $179 are available between San Jose-Maui and San Jose-Kona for tickets purchased by March 18. Additionally, travelers can save up to $550 on Hawaii Vacation Packages purchased by April 4.

"In just two years, Hawaii has become a major part of our route network, and we're pleased to expand our Bay Area service," said Steve Jarvis, Alaska Airlines' vice president of marketing, sales and customer experience.

With the new service from San Jose and flights between Sacramento, CA, and Maui starting March 26, the airline offers 73 flights a week to four Hawaiian Islands.

San Jose to Maui flights depart California at 7:30 a.m., landing in Maui at 11:05 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Return flights leave Maui at 12:05 p.m. and arrive in San Jose at 7:15 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

San Jose to Kona flights leave California at 7:30 a.m. and land in Hawaii at 11:20 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Return flights leave Kona at 12:20 p.m. and arrive in San Jose at 7:35 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Sacramento to Maui flights depart daily at 8:15 a.m. and land in Hawaii at 10:50 a.m. Return flights leave Maui at  11:50 a.m. and land in California at 8 p.m.
