British Airways on Tuesday became the first major international carrier to sign a new long-term agreement with Sabre, giving the GDS access to its fares and inventory. Too, the carrier has guaranteed its full fares to Sabre Connected customers, Sabre said, which includes flights sold through BA's web site, its own reservation offices and any third-party web site. Sabre also noted agents in the United Kingdom and Ireland would need to join an opt-in program to access the fares, or otherwise face a L3 per segment surcharge.
