US Airways and Air New Zealand have entered into a code share agreement to provide better access between the western United States and the South Pacific. The flights, which are still subject to approval, should be available for purchase beginning in September. The agreement allows for US Airways customers to connect on Air New Zealand from Los Angeles and San Francisco for nonstop service to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands, while Air New Zealand customers can fly nonstop from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Phoenix, Las Vegas, Charlotte, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh via US Airways.
