Swiss International Expands Operations

In 2007, Swiss International Air Lines is raising frequencies in the United States, Africa and South America and will also debut a new daily service from Zurich to Tokyo. Beginning mid-February, Swiss will operate six, instead of five, weekly flights from Los Angeles. Come July, Swiss will fly daily to Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, Johannesburg and Cairo. Also in February, the carrier will offer daily service from Zurich to Tokyo. Swiss has enlarged its fleet to accommodate the additional services, adding two Airbus A330s and A340s.
