United Expands Service to Africa, Middle East

United Airlines announced Thursday the expansion of its services to include flights from Washington to Accra, Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria. It will also extend its existing daily Washington-Kuwait flight to include Bahrain. A new flight is also scheduled between Chicago and Brussels.

Flights to Accra will begin on May 2, 2010. From Accra, the flight will continue to Lagos, Nigeria. Sales are available this fall.

The already existing non-stop flight from Washington Dulles to Kuwait will continue on to Bahrain starting April 18.

And starting March 28, United will inaugurate a nonstop service between Chicago and Brussels.

All of these new services are subject to government approval.
