US-VISIT to Launch Biometric Exit Process

Foreign travelers in the future will be required to provide biometrics at airports when departing the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. DHS plans to incorporate US-VISIT biometric exit procedures into travelers' airline check-in process before the end of 2007. Foreign travelers already provide biometrics-fingerprints and a digital photograph-upon entering the United States. Soon the requirement will be all 10 fingerprints.
