Grenada Looks to Lure Ritz-Carlton

Travel agents may soon have more luxury hotel options for clients looking to vacation in Grenada. The small Caribbean island nation is looking to build two new luxury hotels, and, if given the choice, wants to do so with Ritz-Carlton. A proposed Four Seasons project is already in the works. The Ritz-Carlton group recently accepted an invite by Port Louis owner and developer Peter de Savary to experience and understand Grenada's tourism industry and culture, as well as to view the developments currently underway at Port Louis and Mount Cinnamon. De Savary said that Grenada stands on the threshold of becoming an exclusive Caribbean tourist destination. Ritz-Carlton and de Savary already have an existing joint venture at the Abaco Club in the Bahamas.
