“Clegg has been with NACTA nearly three years now and has developed many new member benefits including the NACTA Academy webinar trainings, Agent Life Magazine, NACTA’s official magazine, the new Destinational program for members and much more.  Her focus will continue to be on member benefits as well as Industry relations with NACTA supplier partners.  Additionally she will continue implementing the many training opportunities NACTA has for travel agent members” said Scott Koepf, president of  NACTA.

Clegg’s extensive travel industry experience will be instrumental in the continued success of the association, Koepf said.  Clegg is a 23-year veteran of the travel industry and has been involved with travel agent business development since 1987.

She began her professional career in television and radio broadcasting as a news anchor in the Chicago-Land market in the late 1980’s.  Mary left broadcasting and started her travel career as a sales manager with Funjet in 1987 and then as a district sales manager with Commodore – Crown Cruise Lines, Holland America Line and most recently as district sales manager in West Michigan with Norwegian Cruise Line.

“I’m delighted with my new role as vice president and the ability to fuel my passion for helping travel agents build their business.  NACTA members are very career focused and in my opinion the best in the industry.  I’m excited to see how the association is growing and expanding our programs and look forward to a successful year for our professional agents and suppliers in 2010.“ said Clegg.

According to Koepf, Duglin came to NACTA as the South Florida Chapter Director and has been an enthusiastic and valuable addition to the organization.  He has taken the bull by the horns and built a very successful chapter in the South Florida area. Duglin has been a successful home-based agent for the past 6 years and has been involved in the travel industry for over 25 years and formerly owned a brick-and-mortar agency in the Cleveland area.

“I’m thrilled to be able to work with such a forward thinking organization.  My passion is travel and helping travel agents fulfill their business goals through training and travel experiences.  NACTA has given me the opportunity to do both, experience new destinations and help other travel professionals do the same” said Duglin.

“Bob is NACTA’s business development manager. His primary duties include recruiting industry supplier members including convention and visitor bureaus worldwide, organizing and developing Seminar at Sea & FAM programs, as well serving as co-director of the South Florida NACTA Chapter,”   Koepf added.
