Although the news is officially slated to be released later this week, Travel Agent got the scoop on Bonaire's first-ever U.S. branded hotel.
Courtyard by Marriott Bonaire will officially announce its opening, marking the first international hotel brand to have a presence on the island.
The 140-room property, located less than a quarter mile from Bonaire's airport and five minutes from Downtown Kralendijk, will cater to leisure consumers, as well as business travelers with three meeting spaces totaling more than 2,700 square feet.
Additional guest amenities include a modern fitness center, infinity pool, and BLT Grille, an American steakhouse, with an onsite dive center scheduled to open in early 2017.
“The Courtyard now provides an accommodation option that complements the experience to be found in Bonaire," said General Manager Koen Hietbrink in a written statement. “Bonaire is often overlooked, but those who are in the know will find an affordable and one-of-a-kind Caribbean escape.”
The hotel opens with rates from $159 and a Marriott Rewards member offer of 10 percent off, plus 2,000 bonus reward points.
