Gaylord Entertainment, which owns ResortQuest, has teamed up with RREEF Global Opportunities Fund to purchase the Courtyard by Marriott Kauai at Waipouli Beach. The hotel will be managed by ResortQuest under a long-term contract and renamed ResortQuest Kauai Beach at Makaiwa. The property recently completed a $20 million renovation, which included the guest rooms and public areas. The Kauai property marks Gaylord's second joint purchase in Hawaii in the last year following the acquisition of the former Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel in 2005 (now the ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel).
