Hard Rock International has announced plans for Hard Rock Hotel New York, a new-build property which is slated to open in late spring 2019.
The hotel will be located in an area previously known as Music Row on 48th street between 7th Avenue and Avenue of the Americas, and will comprise 445 rooms. The area was once a popular destination for aspiring artists as well as music icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones.
The music-focused hotel will host live events and include artist-inspired design elements, such as a music memorabilia collection and museum-like displays. Memorabilia for the hotel will be selected with a focus on contemporary New York artists, as well as other well-known musicians and important moments in the city’s history.
Hard Rock Hotel New York will have a colorful lobby with a restaurant and lounge, as well as lobby bar. A rooftop space will offer views of Times Square and Rockefeller Center, and programming will include both day and evening activities, ranging from artist sessions and DJ sets, to events highlighting local artists and celebrities.
The hotel will also have amenities and programs exclusive to the brand, including a Rock Spa offering the Rhythm & Motion spa menu with music-infused Swedish massage practices and treatments. Guests will also enjoy the Sound of Your Stay music amenity program, allowing for Fender guitar and DJ-equipment rental delivered in-room. There will also be a Body Rock workout facility and Rock Shop.
The upcoming Hard Rock Hotel New York is being developed in collaboration with the New York based Extell Development Company.
