Kingfisher Airlines Needs Funds Fast

Indian carrier Kingfisher Airlines has flown into some financial difficulty. According to News Republic, one of India's busiest airports told the airline to pay its bills or it would be grounded.

"Mumbai airport bosses have told the cash-strapped airline, which is India's third-largest by market share, that it needs to pay 900 million rupees ($17.3 million) in outstanding charges," according to the article.

This will mean that the airline will have to make daily payments to Mumbai International Airport Limited.

Prakash Mirupuri, spokesman for the airline, told News Republic that flights would continue to operate as normal.
