New American Cruise Lines Riverboat Construction Ahead of Schedule

American Cruise Lines announced today a the construction of its brand new riverboat, Queen of the Mississippi, is nine weeks ahead of schedule.

The 150 passenger sternwheeler is being built in Salisbury, MD, where the two halves of the boat’s 500 ton hull have recently been connected.

The Queen of the Mississippi is scheduled to be finished summer 2012, and is the first riverboat built for the Mississippi in almost 20 years.
