Israel is becoming an attractive port for many cruise lines, ideally for its enriching shore excursions. Azamara Journey's Mediterranean itinerary in 2008 will include calls at Haifa and Ashdod with overnight stays. Other cruise lines to call at Israeli ports include Costa Cruises, Cunard, Holland America, Princess, Regent and Seabourn. Shore excursions will be offered through the biblical towns with stops at such must-sees as the Hanging Gardens and Bahaii Shrine.
